Steering Wheel Mod.

About 3 weeks ago I drove the new GT2 RS and fell in love with everything about it.
One little thing I loved was the Alcantara Red Wheel. I have red belts in my Black interior and wanted a little more pop. After seeing in this forum the amazing pictures of the work that DSV Customs did on interiors , I gave them a call.

I sent them my PDK paddle shifting wheel and WOW!!!! These guys are amazing. They did this in four days . They send pictures to approve before they shipped. Now I am looking around my interior to see what I do next!!!
Here are a few pictures of their work. The Red is brighter in the flesh than these pics

I like the look. Just have to wonder how alcantara holds up over time to soiling and wear, compared to leather. Keep us posted.

Very nice. If you have a cab, now you have to go out and find the super-rare special order windscreen with Porsche written in red.

How hard is it to remove and replace your steering wheel?

I wish I was that talented to Do it myself.
I bought the Paddle shifter wheel and replaced the multi functioned (heated ) PDK wheel. I had my dealer put back on the original wheel and they reprogrammed it. They charged about 1/2 hr or so. I miss the paddle shifting and will be reinstalling the red one this week.

I am wondering that myself. I know that when I change my track tires I will be scrubbing my hands before I jump in. I will prob keep a packet of handwipes in the glove box...I hope it doesn't become a pain. Anyone know how easy it is to clean Alcantara?
