Can I remove Stone Guard Film?
Hey guys I am thinking to remove the side stone guard.
Has anyone does the same?
I am thinking to add some sticker in the area or replace it with black guard.
Below is the pic I am referring to I found from suncoast website.

Yes you can, just use a hose with HOT water, after about a minute of spraying the film it becomes very soft, peel one corner back and slowly pull it off just make sure you keep hosing it down as you're doing it.
Good luck!
Sid.

once you remove it don't drive the car before replacing it with whatever you decide on. If the paint gets scratched then the next time you remove the stone guards it could peel the paint away with it.
why? because of repaint? if the paint is properly dried for at least 30 days, the repaint surface shouldn't peel with clear bra.
Why would you repaint unless you need to. If you replace the guards before you scratch the paint then there would be no need to repaint. I would thing that area could be a tricky re-spray given the doors and large panel.
Yep, same method.
I used to just use brute strength (and some motivational choice words
) then I saw that at the clear-film install place they used the hot water method... what a difference!!!!
