Cost to replace passenger side window?

Some thieves decided to knock out my passenger window and steal things from my car, so I need to get it replaced. Any idea how much this should cost out the door?

I'm in the Bay Area, so if you have recommendations, let me know. Thanks!

i would go to the dealer. the window is frameless so you want it to be done well with warranty in case there is any rattle, wind noise, adjustments needed.

if you deductible is low, your insurance can also cover some of the work.

I'm a big fan of lopping off the hands of those who'd pilfer my belongings from my P-car..

I was in an underground parking lot. It's a locked area with around 30 other cars in a relatively high end apt complex. I was obviously overly optimistic about the security of the area. Lesson learned ... sigh.

Lesson learned, always parked next to the security camera. Thieves look for them, for those amateur thieves, they will get bused on camera.

Check with your insurance agent. Stolen contents & broken window might be covered by your home owner or renters policy.

Contents will be covered by your homeowners insurance, but the window unfortunately will not be. Don't ask how I know this, lots of experience in a previous life with car break-ins.

Often cheaper to leave the car unlocked or put your stuff on the hood so they won't need to break the window to steal your stuff. Besides, now you can go out and buy some new stuff.
