Factory Bluetooth on 997.1

Is Factory Bluetooth module offered as option for 06 997?

As far as I know, there is no factory retrofit for bluetooth available for an '06 997. When I was looking for my car, it seemed that everyone was putting in a Nav-Tv or Dension aftermarket unit. Both units integrate with the stock PCM in the car, and work through the PCM controls, just as a "factory" module would. I went with Nav-Tv and I've used it for about 5 years now. Works as advertised.

997.1 only had the phone module option which you had to remove the SIM card from your mobile and insert into the PCM headunit. I went with Tooki and it's what the factory should have provided.

My Tooki works quite well for an aftermarket unit. You would never know it wasn't part of the car from the start.

I have actually recently purchased and installed the iTronic ( no affiliation what so ever with the company) from Cartronics. The installation was easy and it works flawlessly. I would highly recommend.

Have had the Tooki installed for years and it works great!
Seamless operation through the factory screen and buttons.

All the PCM's have the SIM slot but not all cars have option code 666 "Module for Telephone PCM" - so without that option, SIM card won't help you.

So you guys are pulling the sim cards out of your phones and poping them in the car? Where is the sim slot? When i push the tele button it says no phone but the button for phone is there...06 997.1

IIRC, the SIM slot is a push/pull tray on the left side of the PCM above the volume ****...but as I said before, if you don't have option 666, you can't use the PCM and SIM slot for telephone.

Correct. I believe option 666 has the actual phone module underneath the passenger seat.

Get one of the aftermarket bluetooth options. They work identical but without the hassle of moving SIM card everytime you drive. All the buttons and features on PCM works perfectly with my Tooki.

Sometimes (not often) it will be a white sticker about 3" x 3" stuck on the underside of the hood or maybe the previous owner stuck it in one of the manuals - maintenance or warranty...or no where. If nowhere you'll probably have to ask your dealer to run the options by VIN. Or if you put a SIM card in and nothing happens you probably don't have the option.
