C2S versus a Prius-- Funny, sorta...

If the OP had two neurons to rub together, he'd be a fire hazard. Lemme see, crossing a double yellow, passing a car that seems to be in some kind of trouble, exceeding the speed limit, readying the use of a weapon with the potential intent of using deadly force AND ADMITTING IT ALL ON THE PUBLIC WEB.
Clearly this guy is doing his best to give Porsche owners/drivers a bad name. I own both a Porsche and a Prius, each have their place, and neither gives the driver permission to act in this documented manner.

In case I'm among those who give Porsche owners/drivers a bad name (which is possible), let me just clarify that I have nothing against the Prius, Prius drivers, or slow drivers in general. To each his own. It's just that if I'm stuck behind a really slow car, I'll pass him/her if it's safe to do so, even if that means crossing a double yellow.
And no offense to anyone here, but I don't really give much thought to whether I give others a bad name. When I drive my Porsche, I'm just driving, not trying to represent all Porsche drivers nor worrying about whether I fit the expectations of other drivers around me.
Also, don't you think it's kinda creepy that the Prius guy stalked him for that long? To me, doesn't sound like someone who was just in "some kind of trouble." My guess is that the guy was ready to snap.
PS - Love your white cab.

Older and Wiser but mostly more OLD. Who want their daddy preaching to them on this Forum!??
What kind of person buys a Prius? The Prius is as much a Status symbol as Porsche 911. Only difference it that the guy in a Prius wants to feel good about himself in a different way.
I suspect that the guy that drives a Prius wants to "OCCUPY" this Forum.

Well, in California - you know .. the flipflop wearing ehhh Birkenstock society .. the ones that votes Demacrotch again and again, we have a bunch of these sardine tins. As a matter of fact, a friend of mine - a LEO (Law Enforcement Officer) - tells me that most of the speeding tickets are now earned by the Prius crowd zipping along on the freeway at totally unsafe speeds

If you've driven over the speed limit....you need to RELAX! I've crossed a double yellow many times and I deem each a very safe pass. I've seen others cross those same yellow lines at a different point on the same road and some of those are head on collisions waiting to happen. I pass on a down hill where I can see about 1/2 mile ahead = safe. Pass right before a bend in the road = road kill. BTW, I drove a prius for about 2 years and I never had an issue with anyone passing me unless it put me in harms way. I'd drive my prius home from work, hop into my C4S and pass anything going too slow....no harm no foul.

For those who haven't tried it, I recommend practicing heavy braking from various speeds (where it's safe to do so), to get a feel for what your car's stopping distance is and thus how much sight distance you need (allowing for your reaction time as well).
Of course, all of this also indicates that if you want to go really fast, gotta go to the track.
One major caveat... don't let that experience fool you into thinking you know how the car will react at another location at another time. The road plays a big role in how the car reacts. When you stomp on the breaks on a road that has ruts form trucks, and you drop anchor... the car will pull madly to one side or the other or both... so even though it may have worked in the daytime on the wide-open interstate that was flat, doing so on a 2-lane, no shoulder highway in an emergency may send you off in into the ditch without anyone else's help.
