Howdy All,
I am a new owner, and just traded in my 2009 Nissan 370z Nismo edition for a, relatively high mile, 2006 911 2S.
I perused the forums (not troll!) with my nissan on the370z.com, and have come to find this the forum for 911s.
As my car is used, there are a couple things I want to replace with OEM parts, but I'm having trouble finding a reliable online parts dealer. I went through the extensive vendor list for the forum, but no luck. Anyone have a suggestion for oem parts online?
Looking to replace my hood rocker switch on the dirver door jamb area, as well as the control module for the A/C as the switches are worn.
As usual, pics of gtfo, so here you go.

After I traded the 370z Nismo in to the dealer, they got a chance to drive it. I told them the Nissan is really similar in numbers (350hp, 276tq, 100lbs heavier, 6sp) and should be about the same as far as drive. They laughed at me, and I was a little annoyed. After they drove it, they said the Porsche is way better, I thought they were just selling me on a car I already commited to buy - sure enough, I got in the porsche and drove an hour and a half home, this car drives like a freaking dream. I never knew a car could be this different from one sports car to another. Wow! This is my first Porsche, and just the beginning to a long addiction. Previous cars in order of ownership - 1990 Acura Integra, 2002 Mazda Protege Turbo, 2007 Mazdaspeed3, 2009 Nissan Nismo 370z, and current: 1996 Madza RX-7 V8 LS2 6.0L Right hand drive, and 2006 Porsche Carrera S.
Here's a picture leaving the dealer. The silver car is my Nissan I traded in.

Congrats! Need better pics.
As for the AC controls I remember other members posting about having to replace the whole front panel, not just individual switches. There's always sharpie or touch up paint, but I don't know of anything that matches the rubbery texture.

Yeah the whole module is about 550, I took out the rocker switches last night and painted them with laquer, going to take them back out and wet sand them because the laquer is too shiny for my tastes.
Atomic,
Thanks man! I used your recommendation for Suncoast, and ordered a replacement owner's manual, manual holder, new cup holder module, hood rocker switch, battery trickle charger, and clear corner lights for fun lol. Thanks again.

Hi,
Congrats Equinox! Maybe I can just hijack this thread since I have a similar question
I just picked up my very first 911 last week. It's a '09 C2S. Very happy about it and already racked up 600 miles in the first 5 days...
Also have a question about OEM parts. The '09s still have a 1gen 997 steering wheel and I'm lloking for an alcantara upgrade (steering wheel, 6-speed man shift **** and some interior parts). The most logical choice would be the 2007 GT3 steering wheel and shift ****. Suncoast has them. Did anyone make that upgrade? Will I be happy with Alcantara on the steering wheel or should I stick to leather?
Also, anyone experiences with MAcarbon? They have some awesome custom steering wheels where I could have the grips in perforated leather and the rest in Alcantara. But I'm slightly worried to use non-OEM parts (even though the underlying parts are in fact manipulated OEM materials).
Very much appreciate any thoughts around this.
