Springs for my 997s

Hey guys im looking to get some springs for my 997s i have the sport mode with the wrench button. I just want a little drop and i really dont want to kill my ride feeling bouncey or super stiff. Just a nice simple 1" drop to close up the wheele gap. What springs do you guys think is good for me. Techart? H&R? Eibach? Thanks share your experiances

I have the Eibach and it gave it a nice drop. Gets a little bouncy when I have the PASM engaged on side streets. On the freeway it is very smooth and seems to handle better.

No rubbing issues, and I have aftermarket 19s. The drop is about 1". I'm not sure about techart. I went with Eibach based on the feedback from the forum.

It's a good idea to get an alignment after they are installed, the install and alignment was about $500.

Notice a diffrence in handeling? Tighter? Does it hit hard on bumps as if the dash shakes shakes or same kinda feel like stock

Handeling is tighter, especially at higher speeds. With Pasm on it does hit hard.

I also wanted to decrease the wheel gap, but was worried about scraping, rubbing, and a "slammed" look with lowering springs. After much research and deliberation, I went with the Eibachs and have been very pleased. The ride quality is mostly unchanged from stock. It may be a little stiffer/tighter, but only in a good way. I would not describe the ride as harsh, but that's subjective. With PASM turned on things can get a bit rough, but it's not much different than with the stock springs.

My understanding is that Eibach does manufacture the TechArt springs, but they have a different spring rate. Neither company will tell you what those rates are (I asked). The guys at Sharkwerks told me that the TechArts are the best for the street, with the Eibachs running a close second. For me, the difference in price was enough to go with the Eibachs.

My install and alignment also cost right around $500.

Whichever route you go, I'm sure it will work out well.

Yeah im on the fence with this cause i had previous cars with springs And it was kinda messy rubbing scraping i just dont like the wheele gap on the stock springs. I guess the best bet is eibachs. I know techarts a bit pricey but do you think the quality is better from techart? Are the eibachs and the techarts the same drop? Thanks again on the feedback

Aside from price, I think the only significant difference between the TechArts and Eibachs is the spring rate, which neither company will reveal. I can only speak from personal experience regarding the Eibachs. For daily driving they've been great. To me, the car feels slightly tighter than stock, but in general, the ride quality is not appreciably different. There has been no issue rubbing (19 inch Carrera Sports), and front-end scraping only occurs on the steepest of driveways. Speed bumps have been no problem when taken at an angle. I think you'll be happy with either one.

I agree the only scraping I get is on the front end on steep drives, and it is very minor. No rubbing at all and no issues with speed bumps. It does make the car look much better.

Thanks guys for the input. With the drop do you guys think sway bars would be good? This is for daily driving sprinted. Or would it make things to tight?
