305/30/19 rear wheels on 997.2?

I currently have 18" wheels on my 2010 C2 and looking to replace with OEM 19". I found 305/30/19 tires on 19" wheels that came from a 2009 C4S.

The Porsche service advisor warned me that the wheels may not look right on my car. I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of this size tire in 997 C2 and if so would post them?

Any comments appreciated too.

Shouldn't be a problem running 305's but the wheel is wrong - if it came off a C4 (widebody) it will have a different offset than the wheels on a C2 (narrowbody) - will probably extend out too far - that's probably what the SA was referring to...however, some folks don't mind the wheels sticking out 15+mm or more.

That makes a lot of sense. Thank you! You just saved me the hassle of driving 45 minutes to mount the wheel to see how it looks. I would definitely not want the tire protruding beyond the fender. Much obliged.

As expected from many service advisors - wrong! I ran 305's on 19X11 turbo offset wheels in the rear (wide body fitment). I believe the rear offset was 51. They did NOT stick out 15 mm. They are just a smidge beyond flush though. It was hardly objectionable, looked really cool and never rubbed. The offset gives a bit of track improvement that helps handling as well. The biggest plus is the fronts, which are 8.5" instead of 8", which really helps to reduce understeer, even with the same size tires. Check for pics of my car in the forum and the shot in my avitar.

Ryem3, thanks for the reply. Do you still feel the same about the wheels for daily driving off track? And being new to the forum i dont know how to search for pictures you posted.

the offset for rear on WB is 51mm and 67mm for NB...so that is 16mm or about 2/3 of an inch beyond where they are now

Yeah, I bought my car used and it has WB Turbo wheels on it, too. It's apparent that the offsets aren't exactly "right" on the rear, but they don't look bad. The fronts are well within the fenders, but the rears... with 295s, they're basically flush with the rear fender. With 305s, they might just be a hair outside of flush, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. It looks fine to me. You'll probably want a bit more negative camber in the rear (more than -1.5degrees, IMO) to get it to look like it has more of a "tucked" look.
Unfortunately, this is the only pic I have, and it doesn't really show a good angle:

Fitting WB rears on a NB car is basically the same wheel/fender alignment as with using 15mm spacers on the rear (except you have a wider rear tire patch). I ran 15mm spacers on my 09 C2S and loved the look. It sat much more aggressively and made all the difference to me.

In fact, if I didn't have CLs on the GTS, it would have the same spacers on it. I really think the rear needs at least 10mm of added track just so the wheels sit closer to the fender width. While WB wheels aren't meant to fit on a NB car, the difference in offset just makes them fit much closer to flush.

I think it's worth the test fitment. See it with your own eyes. Walk around, check it from all different angles.

Aftermarket fitments for the NB is 11+52 and WB 11+40. The stock WB wheels are perfect for NB flush fitment!
