How does it feel relative to the regular S? I have my supercharger for sale and I may end up trying to get installed. I've contemplated buying the X-51 kit if it sells, but don't know if it is comparable to supercharging the engine.

I've never tried a supercharged car but, nevertheless, don't think X51 is comparable to supercharging. I had X51 on my car retrofitted when almost new and < 3k miles and there was a difference that was definitely noticeable - I got my car back within a couple of days so there was no significant lapse in time to cloud my judgement. The difference between non-X51 and X51 wouldn't be as significant as compared to a motor with forced induction, imo.

What I find extremely appealing about the X-51 upgrade, despite not having had the chance to enjoy experiencing being in one yet, is not only does it add to the exhilaration and fun of the car, but as a Porsche performance upgrade along with its rarity, the X-51 upgrade will add to the panache and pedigree of the car that should result in higher values for as long as the car is around.

(now that was a long sentence)

i just sold an S cab and from what i can remember there is more power here, and it seems to be qiute a linear delivery, no real hotspots...it just PULLS... and while its no turbo, it feels strong, but i'm sure the s/c would out do the x-51 in hp, also i have disconnected the switch for the PSE so its just on, and i think it is different than the S sound-wise, just friggin awesome sound, does NOT disappoint!

Ilias4s is infamous around these parts
If you have the headers and the sport exhaust from the x51 power kit can you order all the others seperate and how match will be the cost?

You can still order the other separate parts but you will need to know what to order. You should be able to match components based on the TSB. After which you will then need to get a Porsche dealer to upload the X51 tuning maps.

It would be cheaper to buy the whole X51 Kit and then sell off your headers and PSE.
