parking a 911
Put the car in gear and use the handbrake every time.
IMO this goes for both automatic and standard. I don't know why, but it makes me crazy to see automatic cars resting on only the parking gear. I know it is different if you live in very cold climates. My mini rant is over :-)

Only in gear, no parking brake. My garage is pretty flat, even when I am in neutral, it doesn't roll anywhere.

Both always... The only time I don't put the parking brake on is after I've washed the car and put it in the garage (w/ wet rotors).
I gather that when they're hot after a session at the track that one should not put the parking brake on...
I have a wheel "chock" that I slide behind my front left wheel when it is in the garage (floor is flat, but you never know)

I always just use the handbrake on any of the manuals I've owned over the years unless I'm parked on a slope, then I also put it in gear (not particular about which one really). I always put it in gear if there's even a slight slope, but most of the time I find myself parked on flat ground and just use the hand brake.
