License plate frames

Does anybody have a nice license plate frame on their car? My plate is currently going naked and I think it may be time to put some clothes on her. I was thinking of getting a black frame to match the car. Do you guys know a good place to get a frame or have any other ideas besides black?

Where did you get the frames and is it a brushed metal look or more of the shiny chrome type?

Be careful which type you buy. In many states, the frames are illegal if they cover too much of the plate.

I still have a very sturdy metal Brumos Porsche logo'ed license plate frame they provided over 15 years ago. It still looks new and has held up extremely well. I have never felt the need to make a change as I am supporting my local dealer who supports our local PCA heavily.

Bought a brushed SS "PORSCHE" frame from 6Speedonline sponser, Suncoast Porsche. Very sturdy, easy fit. Dresses up the plate.

I have a Porsche "Slimline" carbon fiber tag frame purchased from my dealer. It wasn't cheap (around $140), but you might be able to find one for less. I like it because it doesn't cover anything on the license plate and doesn't have a logo. I have a TN "Desert Storm Veteran" tag and I like fact that all of the lettering shows.

I also purchased the security caps which cover the screw heads from Suncoast. The caps are metal and come in silver or black. They give the frame and tag a finished appearance.

Finally. I replaced the halogen bulbs in the tag lights with LEDs. Looks sharp.

My choice is black frame that holds the camera. Dual function! I have that type on my F250 and when Inchange out my PCar radio...same thing. But if you don't like that....simple is best. You can always get a plate frame with a cover integrated in so your tags are not stolen. That happens a lot.

Try your local p-car dealer. Picked up a simple black frame identical to Suncoast's for only $5 more than the online price and walked out with it on the spot. Solid construction. Even comes with rubber bumpers for the back between the plate and the car's body.

Common guys, it's a Porsche! Get original.

Here's a plate I got from my best friend when I bought the car.

(If you can't read it, it says: "My other ride is YOUR GIRLFRIEND")
