Moved rear deck fan. Need suggestions on old hole
This is a great idea and your cheapest alternative.
You can buy a small sheet of carbon fiber. You can cut it with a dremel and sand the edges to a smooth finish. Looks great. I did some bumperette covers on my 996 when I installed my TPC turbo. They looked great and it was cheap. you could even finish the edges with automotive edging if you desired. One of my buddies gave me the carbon fiber sheet. I will find out where he got it and post it for you.
Thanks that wold be great

SPAL
High HP turbo builds often use a MAF-less intake system combined with larger Y pipes, both of which cause the center fan to collide with the aftermarket engine parts. Contact joetwint/EVOMS - they have spec'd a SPAL fan with a custom bracket that should provide you with a much lower profile fan over the OEM Gate fan.

Sheets of carbon fiber. This is where my buddy got his. I searched and there were many more.

I would like to see an example of this as I think it would look odd. To me, a piece of non-functional carbon fiber screwed over a hole which, if left alone, would allow heat/air transfer would serve no positive purpose.
Prior to moving the fan to the right there was no gaping hole. So the airflow really is no different. The plate would be purely aesthetic with a nice Porsche shield place in the center. I like a clean compartment and that's what I am shooting for here.
Carbon fiber for the most part when used as trim is non functional and there are many people that like the look of it, me included.
