does porsche make turbo wheels for 997.1 NB?
hi all,
it's my first post here. I have been reading a lot before buying my black c2s 2006.
I hate the wheels I have with the car.
those wheels:
I love the turbo wheels. but from what I found on this forum, offset is not the same for WB. and AFAIK, those wheels are only for WB
I found those:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/321038910632?item=321038910632&viewitem=&vxp=mtr
there are no mention about replica wheels. I ask the seller about it.
so my question. did porsche makes those turbo wheels for NB 997.1?
I don't want replica wheels, those, IMO, are cheap wheels, heavy and I heard they look bad.
thanks :-)

Porsche makes the wheels in NB offset and I have them on my car. You can also use WB figment with spacers. Search online for the Tequipment catalog which explains all. dave

dasams,
you got me all confused here.
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...et-wheels.html
"A larger offset number will pull the wheel in towards the car, while a smaller number will push the wheel out. "
so NB rear wheels offset is 67 and WB is 46.
so a smaller number will push the wheel out. so I cannot use a spacer as it push the wheels out even more. so from what I understand, I cannot have WB wheels on a NB.
do I have this all wrong?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/390496338065...S:1123&vxp=mtr
found this as well. but still replica and seler mention they are 32lb front and 34 rear. it's about 30lb more total...

I have an '05 C2S so same as your newly acquired '06. I also had the lobster fork 19" Carrera S wheels so I replaced them with 19" OEM NB Turbo wheels. I found a used set on Ebay with Michelin PS2 tires (50%+ tread left) for around $2700.
Replicas are cheap, and they look cheap too. I had to have OEM, and I really wanted the hard-to-find NB set. Last I checked with Wheel Enhancement, a new set (no tires) runs $5500, so I chose to wait about a year until I found a used set online. Patience paid off, just keep your eyes open online and you'll find some.
And yes, if you don't mind the minor difference in offset, the WB Turbo wheels should fit fine, no spacers. They just stick out a little more than usual and I wouldn't suggest it if your car has modified suspension.

great
Thanks all for your help!
Now I will see how patient I can be. I can’t stand my ugly OEM wheels. I like both Porsche wheels I showed. But the avant-garde m550 are very nice too. Only 1lb more than OEM, and $1600 sounds reasonable.

I have a set of Turbo Wheels - I'd be willing to sell them. They're sitting in my garage. Message me if you're interested. I never got around to selling 'em. They came off my C4S so they're WB (if indeed those will fit your car).
Love you car btw ...
