PSE not working???

on my C2S I have the PSE option and had previously disconnected the vacuum hose to it so it would be engaged all the time. a few months ago I reconnected the hose and now the exhaust valves won't open with sport mode or disconnecting the vacuum hose. any ideas on what might be wrong?

Have you tried moving the silencer valves manually to make sure they are not siezed?
Which vacuum hose did you disconnect?
Most people just unplug and insulate the vaccum valve that operates the silencer valves.

It usually happens to ma as well for a few days anytime I bring the car to the dealer. They need to reconnect it in order to avoid errors when they make their checks.
As I was saying, after a few days (plugging it in and out) it starts again to work and... I disconnect it again

I have a similar problem. I've got PSE and the owner before me did the mod to make it loud all the time. I wanted to put it back to the control switch but when I went to put the vacuum hose it is not disconnected, and the switch is also still connected. Is there any other way to make the PSE loud all the time that I can't find on here? I've searched high and low for an answer but haven't had any luck.

I bought this as well (and used for a while until when I realized that I wanted it ALWAYS loud).
Now I want to sell it but I guess that shipping from Europe is not a bargain for the US. If you are interested send me a PM.

how would I go about checking the valves to make sure they aren't seized. ? I disconnected the hose that is to the left of the engine, where I had seen others do the mod.

Yes - apparently there is a very easy modification one can make to the actual switch for the PSE that defeats the 25-40 MPH component and truly makes the switch off/on. I know there is a thread either on here or RennList about that modification and it has pictures of the switch mod too. I just do not have time to find it.

You'll need to jack the car up, or put it on a ramp, and reach up underneath the rear bumper. You should be able to see the valves on the silencers, the actuation rod should move in and out freely whilst staying attached to the valve welded into the pipe.

Never seen the vacuum hose disconnection mod before. Far easier to just unplug the valve.

The vacuum hose that controls the valves is on the right side of the engine.

The grey valve (brown plug) on the right side of the picture conrols the vacuum to the valves on the exhaust. You can just make out the pipe running under the throttle valve and over to the left where it joins into the main vacuum line from brake servo to vacuum pump.
There should then be two vacuum lines coming from the grey valve, one to each of the silencers. The vacuum side is fairly simple, the electrical side is a little more complex as it's controlled by the DME. I installed a genuine Porsche loom so that it would work correctly with Sport Chrono, but fitted aftermarket silencers.
