Can you upgrade the sport chrono dial in a 2009 911s to the newer one that has a clock and is illuminated?

 

ditto... I never use my sport chrono. It'd be nice if it did something besides look pretty.

You can get the dealer to program the chrono so it's illuminated but all that does is constantly remind you how worthless it is.

 

So use it maybe????

Read about it in the manual....NEVER even tried to use it...maybe in the spring at a track event...doubt it though, too much goin on to mess with...

 

Yeah every time I see the new Cayennes with the Chrono clock/compass I think about this too. I guess it would be easy to hook up power but doubtful that the controls would work the same way. Useless thing for me. I does look quite nice illuminated so I will leave it on sometimes so that it comes on with the headlights.

 

I've used it like 2-3 times. I find it kinda hard to use. honestly.. how often do you need to time yourself? unless you're always on the track. It's prob one of the more useless options on my car... besides XM radio. which I can't stand cuz the sound quality is so bad.
