New Member intro with picture

I purchased a 05 997 C2 about a month ago after searching around for a few weeks. I was fortunate enough to find the right car 20 miles away from me (67,000 miles, 60k service just performed, new motor at 50,000, refinished bumper, records, books, etc). The only down side to the car was it came with 996 wheels and didn't have full leather interior. The positives were it was good colors (arctic silver/Black), serviced, GT3 rear bumper (center exit), Cat bypass, LED Strips in Fog Lights (DRL's) and H&R springs. I have driven the car only a hand full of times as it has been at the shop and have spent more time ordering parts than I have driving it

So far the mods are:
-19" lobster claw wheels with 305's in back (plasti dipped them for winter)
-7mm spacers all around
-OEM carbon shifter and leather boot
-Clear Bra (full bumper, fenders, hood, rockers, and partial rear fenders)
-Nav-tv iPod

Parts on Order:
-X51 headers
-Silver dash vents and cup holder cover
-Radar hard wire kit
-OEM 997 GT3RS rear carpet kit

Parts I want to order:
-Wing (GT3/Aero Kit or Duck Tail)
-Coilovers
-Sway Bars
-LED Tail Lights
-LED Interior Lights/Plate lights
-Gundo Hack
-Red Front Seat Belts (rears will be deleted with carpet kit)
-Laser interceptor
-???

It is very apparent that I have a sever case of the modding bug...

I will post more pictures when it comes back from clear bra

Any other advice on Mods?

I don't believe a word of this. The dealer will not withhold information, no way! They do not want litigation down the road and quite honestly the sale of one car is not worth the asspain for them.

BTW there is not a dealer around, I don't care if its a Honda, who will not print off and hand you the service records.

No dealer should release service records from a previous owner as it has their personal information on it. Also, it's Porsche na's policy country wide. General across the automotive industry too.

Also I've been selling exotic cars (Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bentley, etc) since I was 18 so I know the practice in the industry.

Congrats on the Carrera. Looking forward to seeing your mods. Silver is a great color to keep clean and of course classic German.

yes, learn how to drive it. i can appreciate modding but if you havent already, spend some of that $ on the track: driving lessons, track school, etc. it's not a piece of artwork, it's a car meant to be driven.

I have done several DE's in my former car (400rwhp BMW) but never in a rear engine car. I am going to sign up for all the local ones (3-4) and will try to make it out of town for a few.

DE's are as much fun as you can have with your clothes on.
