Luggage Cooling Compartment

Just bought a 2008 C2S last week. I noticed the factory build sheet shows option 575 which is a luggage cooling compartment. Anyone knows what this is? The owners manual does not mention anything about it.

I believe this was an option to keep devices such as the CD changer and GPS unit cool in hot climates.

Thank you for the reply Fahrer. That makes sense. I didn't see any extra ducting that would keep groceries cool and I thought that was a rather mysterious option.

I vaguely remember some cooling plumbing and an outlet in my frunk under all those plastic panels when installing the XM/Sirius unit in my 06 C2S. If I remember it discharged on the back of the nav and changer. I don't know if I have the "575" option though...

Uhh, actually now that i look at the list mine is listed with 575. Sorry.

Thank you Z00mie. That pretty much solves the mystery. I have the Nav and changer options too. Could be that 575 comes with cars that have those options.

All I know is that the frunk area in my Turbo gets warm...doesn't bother me unless I've got a cold 24 of beer in there. They are warm by the time I get home.
