2011 Carrera 4S -- remove bumperettes?

2011 4S
Did a search but most posts are about earlier cars. Can anyone guide me on removing the bumperettes on my 2011 Carrera? What are my options to blank off the space left where the bumperettes were?

I opted for an Euro OEM 997.2 rear bumper.

that might be my better option. Can you post a pic? Where did you get the bumper? There are many sights on the net, and some seem flimsy.

the bumperette holes can be cheesed in at a good body shop with good results. there is also someone on the other forum selling a wide body 997.2 euro bumper for a very good price if you want to avoid the body work.

The bumperettes are the worst part of the rear, IMO. Glad you are getting rid of it. It's such an eye sore, can't believe Porsche designers looked at it and agreed to allow it on the production line.

one thing that does look off to me (but still better looking then the bumperettes) with the euro bumper is, those 2 large big empty spaces are on both sides of the (smaller) north american licence plates.

doubt the designers and engineers "agreed" probably some sort of US 5mph bumper test that required these things...

I would agree with you if the 991 came with them but they don't unless the US laws changed.
