Changed my battery, now have error and faults!

My battery on my 997.1 died and I took it out and replaced it with a new one. The battery mist have been disconnected for about 2 hours. Well the new battery fired up the car with no problem but I now have the following issues:

1. Dash reads"failure spoiler control"

2. Dash also reads "system vault visit workshop"

3. I can't open the convertible top because when I try to do so I get a message to close the rear lid. In fact the rear lid is closed! I a tally cannot open it because the button to to do so is not responding.

4. My rear windows will not open or close.

Anyone else had this problem? Am I screwed Oris it a simple programming fix? I am trying to avoid going to the dealership. Can any reputable mechanic handle this? Or better yet can I figure this out on my own?

Any advice or help is much appreciated!

It should correct itself after a few minutes of driving. Next time use a battery tender plugged into the cigarette lighter / power port to keep the computer alive during the swap.

For the windows you need to do a manual reset: hold the button all the way until the window is fully open, and do the same all the way up, on both sides.

Check your battery ground cable. Recently, I replaced the battery not too long ago. Ever since the battery changed, I had all sort of issues. Windows not going up, door will not lock, double horn after drive off. Come to find out, it was the loose ground cable. Connected it, everything is fine so far.

I don't drive me 997 often (enough) so I keep it plugged into a trickle-charger tender. Just learned that the outlet is on a gfi and it had tripped. So to my surprise, I went to drive my car and found the one year old battery STONE dead. Remove the battery, dropped it on the charger overnight and still dead. Advanced Auto Parts was awesome with customer service and switched out the battery no questions asked. They even told me to come by with the car if it signaled any faults.
That's when my real problems began (dash looked like a Christmas Tree of red, yellow and green error /fault lights). Stopped by my local Porsche dealer here in Tampa, FL who at NO charge YES, I said NO charge cleared all my faults in ten minutes. They even let me know about an AC fault that I didn't even know had triggered. Take it in to the pros and have them reset.
Best of luck.

OK, so I took my car in to my trusted mechanic. He saw many fuses blown and replaced them, then when testing everything, he saw smoke coming out from the seat and the fuses blew again. He mentioned that he needs to investigate and look for a shorted wire and who knows what he will find out.

Anyone have thoughts here? Am I totally screwed?

Just heard back from mechanic. He found water built up under the seat. So there is a leak somewhere. Meantime the rear module is shot. Parts and labor is around 1k to fix. Then they test more to see if any other damage. Hen I have to go to a body shop to see why where how this leak happened and correct. Sheeeeesh. Thoughts?

Door drain holes. Someone else posted they had an issue with the drain holes for the door not being large enough and caused a water backup. I could imagine the "backup" seeping thru into the cabin via the bottom door seal. Just my initial thought.
