Hello I'm new here. I got a 997.1 C4S Tiptronic. Small problem. When cold: engine is running directly after starting. When warm: starting within 10 min; no problem. Starting after more than half an hour(half-warm): I have to use the "gas-pedal" otherwise the engine won't start. After that it runs correctly but there is a lot of "petrolsmel". My P-specialist don't know what the problem is. Who can help ?

 

 

It doesn't sound like he has a slow crank issue on hot start, but rather the engine turns over but doesn't start. If that's correct, its a different problem than the linked thread and could be many things such as plugs and coils, bad MAF, bad Crank position sensor, bad cam position sensor(s), vacuum leak, etc

Any CEL codes? Does it run and drive fine once you do get it started or does it misfire or sputter?

 

From what I am reading it is the starter on its way out and possible bad alternator cable
