baby seats in a C4s Cabrio

anyone ever fit a baby seat in the backseat of a cab? i'm going to be a first time dad soon and was wondering how feasable this is going to be??

i live in manhattan so i don't need to drive teh baby around often, but i would rather keep the p-car than have to switch to a family sedan... i don't want to keep 2 cars in nyc

thoughts???

First time dad; first time baby's need seats that have them sitting backwards in a semi-reclined position (rear facing). I can't think of any possible way that would work in the back seat without the front seat being so far foward no one could sit in it. The Porsche baby seat is rear facing and made for the front seat and I suspect for it to work you have to have a manual override on the passenger air bag and have the seat so far back as to make the rear seat behind unusable. So you would end up with a three seat car; driver, baby in front and adult behind driver or driver, baby in back and adult behind driver. I have to say though I waited until my kids were in jumper seats before getting my 997S4, someone else may have more direct experience.

my wife is pretty tiny so maybe she can squeeze

i'll have to go to get a few of these seats test fitted asap

Good Luck with that. I have a 997s Coupe and when my baby was less than one years old, I was using a rear facing seat and no one can fit up front, especially in a cab. You have to wait till the baby is one and get a forward facing seat. It is still very tight in a cab. Time to sell the Porsche for the Minivan!

I have twin boys almost 3, and a 06 997S Cab, I found a few seats that worked, though need to take the bottom cushion out. Must say I am 5'8" and I needed to push the seat up way to far to want to drive long distances. Boosters are alot easier.

I tried a britax roundabout in the back of my 996 C4S - I could not get it to stay deep into the seat, even with the bottom cushion removed. I don't know if maybe I had the wrong seat, or if I just didn't get the belts tight enough or whatever. I would up returning it, as I don't want to risk it with my 15 month old. She'll just have to ride with Mommy in the minivan.
