Did I screw up my frame?

So I definitely made the mistake of using improper jack points while trying to put my car on jack stands. On the front driver side, just aft of the actual jacking point, my “side skirt” is now pushed up in the area where I raised the car. I have two questions. First is did I create any frame damage by doing this? Second is I notice the side skirt appears to be a single unit that is molded onto the rear ¼ panel. How would I go about having this repaired? Could a body shop tack something onto it and then pull it back down? This is the result of installing springs at 2AM after just a few hours of sleep the night prior….I also posted this on Rennlist but haven't had much luck with replies over there.

The best way to have this done is not to replace the panel. That would require all of the factory spot welds to be drilled, cut, ground off, etc... The best method would be as you said; take it to a reputable body shop, ask them how the procedure would go... They should respond with, "we will mount the car on a frame rack, we have clamps for your car, we will weld a tab on the bottom of the rocker, and pull it down. We will then cut off the first tab, and repeat this process until the rocker is where it was before the "incident". Add the rockguard, and paint it.
Best of luck

Depending on the shops labor rate, I would guess $800

No frame damage, just body damage. PM Captlst, show him the pics and he will tell you if it can be pulled out. (He does paintless dent removal) I am guessing it can be pulled out.

The ironic thing about this is that I was installing the springs myself to avoid an $800 charge by the dealer.... Thanks for the tip Luis, I'll send him a PM now.

It looks questionable..... Is the damaged area just underneath the car? It looks like there is also a dent to the left side of the picture as well. However I can not tell if that may be how the body is shaped.

There is certainly no access to push the dent out with a tool from behind. The way I would attack it is with a glue puller. Really it is one of those fancy tools you see sold on TV. It a relatively new on the market and not widely known as a great way to remove dents when you know what you are doing. A few "pulls" by someone who knows what they are doing and it could be minimized with out painting. The repair could be fixed to about 95% accuracy. Finding someone who had adopted this new procedure could be the hard part.. If I were you I would look hard for someone who is experienced with "glue pulling" in your area and give it a shot so you don't have to paint the car! A glue tab is glues on the panel and after curing a lifter or slide hammer is hooked on the tab and yanked off the car thereby pulling the dent out. Sometimes it takes a few pulls on the dent and some finesse to tap it flat.

The frame is not bent just the sheet metal so don't worry about frame damage.

Did this to my mustang to pull out a large dent; worked fine; the kit cost me $15 at Pep Boys.
