Corvette C5 Headlights
Corvette C5 Headlights
Hey guys,
I need some help here, I want to get a corvette flush headlight kit for our C5 and I found something I really like but i think the price is a bit steep, does anybody know of any products that are similar to the one bellow?
http://www.zip-products.com/Zip/prod...sp?pf_id=F-530
and is it possible to do a self installation? (I heard that something like this would mess up a vacumn system, or like ruin the motors for the pop up head lights)

My buddy has those, I'd pass if I was you. The fans are right on the bottom and it looks cheap with them there considering what they cost. And he always has condensation on his no matter what he does. I have seen a set like the C5R on someones car that didn't look bad though. IMO, I'd stay with the pop ups....
Ya no, They look like crap.
If you search for depot fixed lights on the corvetteforum.com many members have them and they are around 400.00.. You can find them on ebay for cheeper.

also, another thing, where can i find those custom deep pile carpet mats that are usually for ferraris or lambos.
Thank you for the info. but the ones i found dont look like crap to me and i think we are all entitled to our own opinions, i am looking for a product without that buldge, if anyone else can show mee, that would be great. and BTW im looking for a new exhaust system, we have a corsa on there right now and i really like it but i want something more high pitched like a corsa but a cat-back and something more louder that reduces back pressure.

When they fill with dust and water they will look like crap as they are not a sealed unit.

Honestly Vk, those units have issues. If you're going for the true c5r lights, they were made by skunkwerkes http://www.spectergtr.com/corvette/gtr.html. I paid nearly $1500 for this kit and then added porsche xenon lights to it. It's pricey but it's the best combo out there and the lighting is incredible as stock lighting is garbage, unless you're using it in the daylight. You won't run into any issues as the entire stock light assembly is removed and unless you're doing this to a 70's vette, I doubt you'll have a vac. issue!haha
As for exhaust, I run straight through some chambered exhausts which sounds very aggresive, but that depends on how mean you want the sound to be. The slp's are also loud but basically it's a pair of straight pipes. If you want something that sounds more tuned and mellow, go with the corsa's or get tubi to make you one.( I think you can order now for oct.)
Here are the true c5r lights. (don't mind the haze in the film/paint, this was right upon completion without any curing time)
