Replacement Tires, Searched the threads but couldn't find what I was looking for

Hello gentleman,

What have you used to replace or upgrade the stock wheels, not rims, but rubber tires? The stock tires on my 08TT look absolutly worn around the outside edges, under steer perhaps.I've never tracked it, just 2000 miles of street driving.
I would like to find a set of replacement road tires that have a bit more "slick" to them for better all around traction. I don't mind sacrificing milage and replacing them every 3-4 years as long as there is noticable performance in handling.
Thank you in advance guys, hoping you are enjoying your day....

Thanks my friend....

PS2's are pretty good all around tires...fairly good tread life.

Wow...you went through your tires pretty fast. If you are under 2500 miles, have your alignment checked...most dealerships will do it free as part of the break-in period.

Pilot Cups. They're crappy in the rain though. I have a set as track tires but use the PZero Rosso for daily use.

I've been using Toyo R888s for street and track use, great tire, but SUPER NOISY on the road, louder than the engine even.

Also if its 2,000 miles have your alignment checked immediately especially if its on the outside of the tires. I got 5,000+ miles out of my first set of R888s with 6 track days, and I only need new rears because Im running -2.5 camber in the rear, the fronts are still fine. You should be definitely getting a lot more life out of your tires.

I just bought a set of N rated msc in 19s, they are a slightly harder cmpd than 'real' cups. I plan to use these daily(oem gt3/rs tires).

Very true and a tad bit noiser than the PS2's.

There are 305's in the PS2's which would be great for you.

I have the Pzero's also on my 08 and am very happy with them. Had the Pilot Sports before which are alittlle noisier. I have 3500 on mine and my edges are fine. With no tracking, you should get 10-12,000 miles on your tires for just daily use. I plan to get winter tires in October.

be careful with the cup tires. they suck real bad if you ever hit wet spots or occasional rain. basically use only if you drive in good weather.
