PCNA sent the following letter along with this gift. It sounds like deliveries will be starting in a few days.

thanx for sharing the information. that seems like definitive information that deliveries will begin by next week. apparently, some of these cars have been sitting there since august-you must have ordered your car to spec-i just put a deposit a few weeks ago on a black on black turbo coupe that wasn't yet sold by a dealer that is sitting in the port also. you let me know when you hear that your car is coming in and i will do the same. thanx again for the info

Interesting...why would the cars have to be recertified if they are essentially the same as the '08s?

I ordered 05/15/08. Hopefully, the car will be here next week.

Who knows? Maybe the standards are tougher in 2009. I just wonder what had to be changed to get the car to pass.

Cool, it's the least they could do. Wonder what EPA changes gave them a problem, the DI?

Well that's what I was kind of getting at...DI isn't supposed to be on the '09s. Mechanically it's supposed to be the same as the '08s.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 09s didn't have the DI engine at all.

you know chris-i hope that they didn't have to make some change to the engine to get it to pass the epa test, something that makes the engine less responsive? i have been a customer of xm since it came out, and i have never gotten it digitally, as it always went through my fm tuner. in my e63, the sirius goes directly through their system-i assume it is digital, and it sounds great. this might be scarey now, as porsche might actually have a sound system that sounds good.

My understanding is that EPA testing changed for 2009; the 2009 engine is the same as in 2007-08.

Sparkhill is right-in addition, on the new pcm, you can get integrated factory installed xm radio and traffic, a usb and ipod adapter, bluetooth and a ventilated seats option, like in the mercedes.
