Can't stand the suspesion, upgrading to PSS10's (Bilstein) did i make a mistake?

Hello guys!

From day 1, I've the body roll, the feeling you get over 100 km/s at the front of the car (very floaty), so after consulting with budd Dan @ Vivid racing i decided to go with the PSS10's, i haven't gotten the car back but should be here soon and i'm worried i'm going to hate it. I'm basically looking for a more firm ride, especially when PASM is activated, and much less body rolls on hard turns? any experience? stories? advice?

Thanks!

I have the damptronics and they are great. Yes it's more firm but not jarring. Don't worry...you will love them. It actually makes it FEEL like a sports car...in a good way...

don't forget to upgrade your sway bars as well to compliment the lower and stiffer ride. I just installed the B16 damptronics and RSS sway bars(med setting both front and rear) 2 months ago and love it. Now the PASM is actually usable. Completely changed the ride for the better. No more nose-diving during breaking and no more rear squatting when you step on it.

here's a granular write-up from Cannga. This will keep you busy for awhile.

also, just don't go too low. Start by lowering 20mm all the way around. You can always go up or down later. After the install, you'll have to drive the car for a week or so to let the springs settle. Then go for a custom alignment. There are a few threads you can search on to find what most folks here used as new alignment settings. Some have gone with GT2 settings to get rid of the 997TR inherent understeer. Good luck!

You won't be disappointed, the PSS10 is one of the best.

There are a couple of really good alignment threads worth reviewing. I'm not sure how to provide direct links to RennTeam threads, but I tried below.

RennTeam

I think the bottom line is, as shown by the different settings used, there are several different ways to get where you want to be. Start somewhere and adjust from there.

Thanks "el 3obid" ... Dan & I have been friends for a while now, he worked on my 996 and currently we keep messing with my car. I think he's planning a Dubai trip in Sept. we should all meet up there.

My conclusions can be found here:

http://www.rennteam.com/forum/thread...html#p20086380

The CG test3 settings are what I am running now and they are superb!

Tip: if you find the ride too hard when you get the car back get them to change the ride heights (measured properly - not from the fenders) to what I have (-15mm). Silky smooth
