Question 997 tt

Hello Everyone,

I'm a new member, i have a 2007 997 tt. Only mods are a fabspeed exhaust....

My question is, I'm looking to do a few more mods, maybe a cold air intake package and a set of headers like those of fabspeed

Any advice on my next steps? disagree? agree? Advice? Thank you

Most folks in your line of thinking do the ECU programming, Exhaust, and Intake. Fewer take it further.

forget the intake - useless. Also, be careful with headers. may do more harm than good.

I would say Evoms headers, a Agency Carbon Fiber Intake, and a tune of some sort. Don't let all these guys scare ya, most of the mods "should" be better than stock. I did the fabspeed exhaust, AP carbon intake, and Evoms headers....the car sounds amazing, and was alot more responsive. Next and last for me with be the tune to make all the mods worth the money spend. Call the boys at vivid....they give great advice.

With your current modification list, our suggestion would be to skip the headers for the time being.

Software is the next upgrade that most do at this time. Our preferred software calibrator is GIAC. (www.giacusa.com)

We have the ability to offer 5 unique maps for your car. These range from a very low power valet mode to a race gas only mode for increased power of normal pump fuel.

I see that you are located in NJ. AWE Tuning is located about 30 minutes north of Philadelphia. Shoot me an email and let's see if we can coordinate a time for you to come by for a visit!

OP - didn't see that you were in NJ. As Mike from AWE said, your close by. I'd suggest you go pay them a visit and they will take care of you. They're actually taking care of me as we speak, in the form of a new clutch

If you go the tune route, make sure thay don't disable the o2 sensors, ,or it will never pass inspection.
