REVIEW: http://best-3dtv.net/samsung-un65c8000-review/
Bought it last week, picture quality is stunning, truly remarkable. It is less than 1" thin and weighs about 67lbs. I got this at dealer cost through one of my connections, so I am passing on this same deal to one very lucky person. I have three weeks left to return it so if no one takes advantage of my deal I will just send it back and this beautiful TV will be sold to someone else at regular retail price. Speaking of retail, this exact set sells right now at Magnolia / Best Buy or Pauls' TV for $5999.00 plus tax. - Just Google for "Samsung UN65C8000" or stop by your local Magnolia. Sometimes Magnolia has a store demo used set on sale for $5399.00 plus tax, but that's as good as you're going to get outside of my deal. Plus with a demo / used set, you are not going to get the full Samsung warranty.
I am offering it, brand spanking new, full warranty, for $4599 cash price no tax. I don't expect to negotiate on this since this is what I'm into it for, and I'm not stuck with it as I can return it for free / full refund within 30 days. More just trying to hook up my fellow 6-speeders with a sweet deal.
I have literally had this set for 6 days. Selling because I have a larger set on the way sooner than expected and I wanted to extend the sweet deal price to someone who might want it before I return it. This LED TV is SICK!! It has been initially calibrated meaning all you have to do is plug it in and enjoy it, the colors and advanced settings are already professionally configured and I will include a printout of calibrated settings in case you decide to play with the settings on your own.
<<<<I have the box, all papers, ***15 MONTH SAMSUNG WARRANTY*** and everything as new.>>>>
If you've been eyeballing those sweet new 3D displays, do yourself a favor and grab this 65" monster. I have it sitting on top of my AV stand and will leave it plugged in to my HD DirecTV and BluRay player so you can take a look first. Remember, this set is NEW and has 100% factory warranty of 12 months, plus the special 3 months extra warranty extension, so 15 months total warranty beginning 04/20/11.
Want it?? PM me. I'm in the Beverly Hills area near Sunset and Benedict Canyon / Canon Dr. - You must have an SUV or truck to be able to take home this gigantic TV.

Thx- Yeah I'm really surprised no one has jumped on this. I've watched a couple of BD's on it, and regular HDTV is so fraking life-like it is scary. It is scheduled for return pickup by my dealer on Monday morning so if no one grabs my deal before then, sadly it's gone-gone-gone.
Do you know more about this than me? Umm.. no, you don't.
Lastly, and most importantly, this is MY for sale thread. This is NOT your personal sharing forum. If you are not interested in my item for sale, or have constructive helpful input directly related to it, go elsewhere or use PM.
Thank you-
FWIW- I have the pickup time scheduled for 1pm Monday, so again this baby's only available until 9am Monday morning (That's the latest I can call and cancel the pickup if needed). I'm going to be home all weekend catching up on the 'honey-do' list, so if interested just PM w/ your number and I'll hit u back. I can help you load it up so no worries there.
Since I'm feeling helpful, here are some key important pieces of info on the upcoming 65D8000 - It will NOT have true local dimming LEDs like it's smaller bretheren, it will use the same edge lit technology as the 65C8000 but also incorporate a "pseudo-local-dimming technology" which sort of mimics local dimming. It will also still be 240hz, the same as the 65C8000. The biggest change seems to be the super thin bezel, plus addition of a full web browser, plus an iphone-looking touch screen remote. I find the latter two features not of value. That's about it. It will even use the same stand from the 65C8000. So we could say, the 65C8000 has all of the 2011 bad-@$$ tech already which will be used in the 65D8000. Word, you can take that to the bank.

OK guys- This set is getting picked up tomorrow 1pm by my dealer, sorry no one jumped on this rare deal. Let's consider this item closed / no longer available.
First off, the 65D8000 set will not ship until the end of the year, if that. Samsung is having big issues with getting their new D series local dimming to work with 60" and larger panels. When it does come out, I'm sure it will be stunning. If you sent crutchfield money for it now, well, good luck with that wait. Second, the price is $4895 + tax to the average Joe, but again, with an "undetermined ship date". http://www.crutchfield.com/p_30565D8....html?tp=35862

Unlikely, but I'll keep my fingers crossed that turns out to be true. There is a serious shortage of 60" and larger LED sets sporting the latest tech. The new Toshiba 65" LED 480hz is looking like a real winner and will be out in a month, dealers are receiving their demo sets now (which firmly confirms the intended release date, unlike the new Sammy). http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/...to?poid=517692
This should handily blow doors on any of the Sammy D series, especially the new D 65" which still does not have true local dimming (edge lit) and remaining at 240hz.

Cool deal- Hope that is the case. My dealer in Irvine has been selling Samsung displays forever, and he can't get word on when dealer demo sets will ship let alone a firm general release date. He's since started taking customer pre-orders for the new Tosh 65 in place of the Sammy's and has factory commitments / delivery schedule. Same word from the other Sammy dealer I know in San Diego, again another long time player in the game. Bestbuy / Magnolia has no word either, and hard to beat them for pulling power with Samsung. Not to doubt your source at all, just kind of odd eh?
For the sake of me wanting this TV so bad, I hope I am right but either way the Tv you have and the new one are both fantastic. Best of luck to you and since you are an audio head like myself, if you have any recommendations where I can get a Mcintosh amp and paradigm equipment it would be appreciated.
