997tt PCCB caliper question

Can any of you guys tell me if the 997tt PCCB yellow 6 piston front caliper ( paired with 380mm rotors) uses the yellow ceramic zircon inserts in the caliper pistons just like the GT2/3 variant? I know the piston sizes are a little larger on the 997TT caliper but want to know if the ceramic pucks are also used.

Thanks....

Bueler, Bueler? Has no one here got their hands dirty and swapped out brake pads on their PCCB cars?

I don't think the 997TT PCCB Calipers have the ceramic pucks but I could be wrong. Thought they were only available on the GT cars.

Thank you. Do you know this for a fact because you've seen the 997tt PCCB caliper? It wouldn't be difficult to find out. All one would need is to place a small mirror next to the brake rotor and you should be able to see the yellow pucks pushing on the brake pad. Obviously the more worn the pads the more visible the pucks are.

Why are you changing up your brakes Jon?

Do you do any winter track sessions at HPR? I've been thinking about bringing my Turbo out there one day when it's nice and warm (relatively of course...).

Hey Scott,
Hope you had a good Christmas. I've decided up upgrade to larger 380mm brakes to provide a bit more thermal dissipation over the 350 floating rotors. We're doing a custom set up and I've been doing some research trying to decide what calipers to use to give me the correct bias. The 997tt PCCB 380mm calipers should work well as they have about 5% less piston are than the 996 GT3 6pot calipers which will shift the bias towards the rear a bit. I should have everything together in the next week or so. My RUF 6pots will be up for sale pretty soon barring any snags...

I'd definitely be up for a day at HPR if the temps were over 50F. Let's keep an eye on it and make it happen.
