My horn failed and now the antifreeze smell is gone!

Brought my car in to the stealership a few weeks ago with a smell of antifreeze. Kept it and pressure tested it and said nothing was wrong. My luck, my horn failed so I made an appointment to have them fix it as soon as I brought the car in. I made sure it was nice and hot. Guess what, they found the leaky rad.
Okay, so for the 997TT the usual things that go wrong are

1) Seized boost actuator: Had that
2) Failed low frequency horn: Had that
3) Leaky rad: had one
4) Failed hydraulics in the wing: Had that
5) Second gear pop out: just started
6) Cam shaft position senor: One P2100 error but hasn't come back and the jury is out as to a throttle sensor or cam sensor.
7) Clutch pedal starting to get really hard to push in the morning: Accumulator

Have I missed anything? 10 months left on the CPO but 5 months of that time it will be in storage. 24,000 miles on the car.
Well I look on the bright side....if the cam will wait until the coolant hoses pop on the engine, then I'll kill two birds with one stone.
Love the car, but whoever said these cars are reliable must be dreaming.

Ouch. I just had the p2100, did hot oil change and it hasnt come back(fingers crossed)

I didnt think 2nd gear popout was an issue with the 997TT, I know it was bad on 2001 and 2002 996TT.

Tomb18 did you see any evidence of the leak in the radiator? I have a continual smell and have had the system pressure tested at least 4 times over the last couple of years. I also had my horns replaced and the accumulator and power steering pump. Have 24k miles.

plinc is infamous around these parts
At about ~28k mi (give or take) I had the ol' "coolant hoses pop out of the engine" routine. This happened about 500mi after the leaky radiator, so you have that to look forward to.

I know. But there is a class action suit against a porsche for that. I believe they will now fix it for free or reimburse you

No other sign except for the smell. I did make it clear that the smell was coming fom the left front and made the service guy smell it. I told him I didn't want to have to come back a third time.
I find porsche needs to have firm pressure for them to do anything up here in montreal. Even then the car sits around a lot without anything being done. Actually the worse service e perform ves I have had in over 30 of car ownership.

You missed rattling quarter panel windows, lol. Thank god for cpo though! I had many of those things. My accumulator was replaced last year, about 5000 kms ago and is starting to act up again. Unfortunately, cpo gone and service guy not sure if it would be replaced for free.

The p2100 error is intermittent. Mine started out that way...had camshaft replaced last year and nothing since. And I must say it felt noticeably faster afterward.

My car is still at the dealers waiting for two new hoses. Seems the person before me had wider tires and they rubbed on the upper radiator hose. Very close to perforating.
I have to pay for that though, since my wheels are after market. I have 20" 8.5"wide 55mm offset and 30 aspect ratio tires. Same size as stock. Must have been the owner before.
