Cel: p2100 VS p0021
Cel: p2100 VS p0021
Hello all i just want some clarification.. only with the durametric software does p2100=p0021?
Reason being im having an issues with cell p2100. I have replaced the cam position senors and i still get code p2100.
Both independent shop and Cobb Access Port show cel p2100.

Sometimes our tool will do this as well. Chances are its a P0021. It gets switched sometimes.
Also try and update the AP and try again.
Feel free to email me with any questions,

Known issue with Durametric. It transposes the numbers for that error code. It is actually the Cam Position code...Just mixes up the numbers. They know about it...but have not fixed it.??

Mitch don't scare me!
What the chances the shops "20k" computer would miss read it too!?
I dont mean to scare you.
We did fix it, so I would go ahead and update and see what code you get.
Feel free to email me, always happy to help sort it out.

Well, is this urban legend or not?
I have P2100 once a year, regularly. This is Throttle Actuator Control Motor Circuit/Open according to the books.
However, every time you search for this code, you find it written that the Durametirc reverses the codes so it is actually P0021.
Well I got fed up of this questions constantly coming up and I got in contact with Owen of Durametric. He told me the swap was fixed a LONG time ago. So, if it says P2100 it IS P2100.
Why do people keep insisting that it is broken????
Perhaps we can resolve this ONCE and for ALL and make a sticky?
So as I said, I get a P2100 once a year or longer on average. What do I do? I do a throttle actuator recalibration. See this link:https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ferrerid=81687
So according to Durametric a P2100 is a P2100 and a P0021 is a P0021. If it isn't you might as well just ditch the durametric. If you can't rely on a tool then what use is it?
All I know, recalibrating the throttle fixes things for me.

I will try a recalibrate! Appropriate the info.
Now if Durametric and Cobb show the correct code! Why does everyone still assume the numbers are flipped?
A sticky would probably be useful in this case.
Pulled p0021 on durametric last night. Read up on error....cleared code. Drove to work just now...13miles in and AP pulls p2100
Is there anything I can log with the AP to see which issue it really is?

^ What version of Durametric are you using?
I know in MY specific case, using Durametric version 6.3.2.5, it will transpose the codes from a 0011 or 0021 to a 1100 or 2100.
My Torque app CORRECTLY reads it as P0011, which in my case was the spun cam issue that required a new intake cam to be installed.
Depending on what version of Durametric you are using, I would be inclined to believe your Cobb AP as correct, which is probably good news for you
So tomb18 above may be correct in that Durametric fixed the transposing code issue a LONG time ago, but all that matters is WHAT version of software contains the fix(es) vs. what version you are actually running on your laptop. In my case I can confirm that version 6.3.2.5 does NOT contain the fix.

It is a fresh install as of last week on my laptop...so whatever I was able to download off the website. I cleared the code again. I am going to perform the throttle reset procedure before driving home. If it pops up again, I will read the code with both tools (Durametric and AP) and post findings and proper software/firmware versions being used.
