just installed ipd plenum today on my 2009 997tt tip ..i installed the giac tune and stage 2 tcu last week..all i can say regarding the plenum is i cant believe the difference ... the car pulls like an animal low middle and top end... its night and day...was skeptical from some reviews on previous posts but today confirmed that it is worth every penny..less lag and instant power..when i got the tune i felt a big jump but now it almost feels like a completely other car...going in next week to add my miltek exhaust with 100 cell cats so cant wait to see the results.. im in jersey i did it up at bergen imports..harry is the owner and i wouldnt bring my car anywhere else

 

I noticed there is a larger 82mm plenum out there. Are there guidelines around the right size to use?

I've always thought this was voodoo, as I never saw a post on it. But now I have a first hand account.

Shadow, depends on your set up and goals. At a certain point you been larger throttlebody. Feel free to reach out if I can help you at all. I've always had the best results and support with IPD and their products!

Upgrades... Larger intercooler, inlet pipes (this weekend), exhaust and Cobb stage 2.

Yup 74mm is the way to go on our 997.2. I also have it as well, and I too was skeptical from other reviews, but after putting it on, the car now feels even more responsive from 2500 onward, with a nice strong pull in the midrange and feeling less choked on top end.
