My Upgrades: Sachs 2.5 clutch, 63.5mm VTG, E85, ID1300 injectors, Kline Catless 2.75 exhaust, DO88 big pack Best run of the day, VTG manual record 10.40@135, with a 1.52 second 60 foot. In the right lane.. Details: The video does explain things well, I wanted to run him with Meth but the clutch didn't hold the extra power. I didn't want to back out of the race, and ran a very conservative non-meth tune to save the clutch. I knew I wouldn't get a second chance with Dragtimes, and this was a rare invite only event.
I got a ****ty lane and it was the end of the night so it was torn up, evidenced by the 60 foot times no matter what I tried. Lining up outside the groove helped a little but not much. My best run of the night was a 1.52 60 foot, so those 4 runs tell you how bad that lane was. I also tried to rush and engage a DSC launch control on the first run, which gave me no time to set up a good launch RPM on the first run. Then I got desperate and didn't want to get gapped, so I tried to cut as close to 0 reaction as possible with poor results.
All the runs were back to back and heatsoaked a little, so that didn't help. My 60 foot times on the last 2 runs were identical, so that's the best that lane would give me. I have a long list of excuses, but with these races you gotta take what you get and I was super excited to race a local celebrity. He acknowledged that my best ET was better than any Huracan, and that I have 5mph more in my meth tune.
Overall, I'm not proud of my tree work, but I'm very proud of my shifting. he wasn't gaining much past my average speed 1-2 shifts. 3-4 was butter. New custom clutch ordered from Mark at Aim Performance, to be installed by TuneRS in Coral Springs.
Nice! Indeed your shifting is phenomenal. Great runs, the car is stout. Did you record any 60-130 times during these runs? Awesome to see you run. Thanks for posting.
Great videos. Launching the car is quite difficult but you did a great job. Your front end lift shows how rapidly you are accelerating...if you don't have the TPC module I would recommend it as it should help reduce the squat a bit without losing the traction benefit. Huracan is no slouch for a stock car....but I like the Aventador rear end better. Can't afford either though lol

Thanks! 60-130 was a mediocre 6.7-6.9 seconds for all 4 runs. Pretty mediocre since it's an extra shift and you don't get the best ones from a drag race. On an individual 60-130 run where I roll into it on 3rd gear and shift into 4th, the car runs 5.9-6.1 consistently. PB is 5.8. Will be 5.6-5.7 on the meth tune once I get my clutch replaced.

Thanks, that's about as bad as I've launched it on those 4 runs, and cost me the races. My 60 foot on the best run of the night was 1.52 and these were all 1.7 and higher. I blame the end of the night lane conditions. I have the module. On the first run you see me engage a new launch control feature which makes the rear go full soft and the front go stiff for 1 second, but it's cumbersome to use because the car must be at a stand still. Engaging it while full stages gave me no time to set up a good launch RPM = too much wheelspin. Rear squat is supposed to help with launches, but I wanna do some testing to see if it negates the benefit of AWD..
I'm on the stock LSD, have a Wavetrack LSD coming in this week along with a new clutch. Looking to see if I'll go more straight and shave off another tenth
Dose bigger Intercooler give advantage over a stock Intercooler? . Taking in consideration that methanol is installed.
In these runs vs dragtimes I could not run methanol, the clutch couldn't handle the power. The upgraded intercoolers give a big advantage over stock (maybe 40horsepower as an estimate towards the second half of the run as the air starts to heat uo) with or without methanol. It's an added benefit
