New Vantage Interior Lights
What did you use (tools and technique) to pop out the various housings? Have you observed the flashing of the door panel lights?
I have the full order in hand but haven't gotten around to doing it yet. I was thinking of using plastic spudgers like one would use for electronics work to help avoid scratches etc. I'll try to take good pics of the operation and post them here for future ref.

i stopped the map light glare
i swapped out all of my interior lights and license plate light with leds.
went with red on the plate. like it a bit.
i liked the interior lights too but didn't like the bright map lights. i don't read maps in my car at night anymore.
so what i did was insert red gels into the map lights. love the red hue now. warm and sexy to me. like a hip basement nyc lounge.
then to stop the glare i got, i cut a thin piece of black vinyl to shape and glued it to the back of my rear view mirror just protruding far enough out to block the glare.
it looks good, clean and does the job.
now i can drive around at night with the map lights on to create ambience.
thanks for all of your posts too because it was helpful and inspiring.

Can't you just turn the dimmer way down? I believe it goes down far enough to effectively turn them off.
Hmmm, on second thought that's probably a safety feature.
Thanks to everyone who contributed in this thread. I changed out the map lights (HUGE diff), footwell lights (matches the map lights), and the license plate lights (still working on the driver side, its really stuck in there)...
At night the when approaching the car, the interior really looks much nicer..

blinking 3710-CWHP6
Ok, so weird update. I put the LEDs in the doors (I picked up the ones from superbrightleds with the 3 leds) and they work great ... until they start to blink every 5 seconds or so. It doesn't matter if the car is on or off, armed or unlocked. That said, these don't work.
I even tried some 6 led versions from V-Leds and same blinking.
I put the original bulbs in, no issues. Anyone venture a guess as to what would cause this? I'd imagine the reason is far beyond something I want to solve but I'm curious.

All the other were easy to change. A tip to avoid shorts is to use a plastic tool (I used a picnic knife to pop out stubborn bulbs while on and it worked fine. All the lenses pop out without too much trouble without having to dismantle anything (trunk, foot, map, door).
I have had the same issue using 3710-CWHP6 for the doors...blinks every 5 seconds or so with the doors closed. Did anyone figure this out? Original bulbs work fine.

I have a new interior.....thanks again to all the contributors on this simple and inexpensive modification. Trunk done as well. The "cool" LED do wonders. I too am thinking about the door lights. The flashing issue is causing me pause. May do the plate as well. Appreciate the thread!!

I've not given up on the doors...I'm goning to try yet another light (3rd times a charm
)...I'll report back what happens.
