Updated Navigation Disc

My 2007 V8 Vantage navigation has been in the wrong state for months now ever since I got the car back from the dealer they screwed it up, I have to bring the car back... I am wondering if anybody has updated there navigation disc from 07 to the 2009 version & if it works alot better? Also if anybody can sell me a copy of the 2009-10 version?

You can try this thread on the amoc forum:
http://www.amoc.org/component/option...er/Itemid,118/

It's a long thread but it includes the Volvo parts numbers for the discs you need to upgrade.

I read all 17-pages and most of them relate to disks for Europe. I found it very hard to figure out what the Volvo Part numbers are, or Volvo car model numbers that relate to the 3-set disk that is compatible with MY08 V8V. So I posted that question on the AMOC site. I'll be very interested in the answer.

From what I've read, you need to look for the 2006 S60 or XC90. I believe these are the correct discs, on eBay for $190 shipped: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/3-DVD-Navigation-Update-Map-2010-Volvo-see-Description-/170628863969?pt=Car_Audio_Video&hash=item27ba45d7e 1

Thanks very much for the quick response. I really like that these are original brand-new Volvo disks, and not Copies. I'll order a set and post how they work.

Wow $190 for some DVD's. That's crazy. You can replace with a much better aftermarket nav for that price.

Volvo 2010 discs

It's been talked about here, but no one seems to have posted on the results of using the Volvo 2010 navigation DVDs. So, I bought a set, and I can say they work fine in my 2007 V8V.

I hadn't used the previous navigation a whole lot, so I can't make any detailed comparisons. However, it looks like there are more points of interest and maybe better graphic depictions of the streets as a turn approaches. There's also a lane indicator showing which lane to be in.

Hello, I'm new to this blog but am experiencing similar issue with my 06 V12 DB9. Does anyone know of a compatible nav disk set that is updated/newer than the 2006/2007 version sold by Aston Martin dealership?

There is a 2010 update--sold for Volvo, but they work fine with the Aston. You need to get the three DVD set for a 2006 S60 or XC90.
