Yep, my owners manual was wrong too. I also put the relay in the fuse 15 slot and programmed the Homelink and it works perfectly. One thing I noticed is that it always defaults to the....I guess it would be the open position...which is great because every time I start the car it already has the exhaust valves open all the time. I only have to use the Homelink button when I'm on the highway for sometime. I just love hearing the sound of that V12 without having to mash the throttle all the time.

I had the same frustrating problem and questioned the $16.98 relay purchased off of Amazon. Using all the cool discussions and pointers on this Fuse 22 thread, I checked the voltage and 12V was read with the switch "ON" and 0V was read with the switch turned "OFF." Still no results.

My owner's manual also says Fuse 22 is the exhaust vacuum, so, knew I was connecting everything correctly. Unable to find a schematic wiring diagram for MY2012, I was able to find one for a MY2011 and it showed the 5A Fuse 15 as the exhaust vacuum. I took the relay circuit and wiring off of 20A Fuse 22 and placed it on Fuse 15, along with a 5A inline fuse, and "Presto!" The remote relay worked like a charm, as well as, programming the switch/relay to the Homelink buttons on the rearview mirror.

So concluding, my owner's manual is incorrect. The exhaust vacuum for my V12V, Assembly date 10/12, is built with a 5A Fuse 15 circuit.

And, furthermore, the MY2011 schematic I found showed that in 2011, Fuse 15 rather than Fuse 22 was used in the exhaust vacuum circuit.

Old cars it's F22-20amp
Newer cars it's F15-5amp.

If I remember right, easy way to remember is if you have a V8 and a EGR on the side of the intake manifold, it's going to be F22....if it's V8 and no EGR on the side of the intake(started in 2010), it's F15..

For the V12's(minus new Vanquish), the split is if the engine has VVT or not..NON VVT= F22-20amp, if the engine has VVT=F15-5amp

If you have a newer car and pulled out F22, all you did was cut voltage to the rear aux power socket in the boot area...

I ordered a logisys remote switch and would like to do this mod to my 2005 DB9. Where do I get the 12v power since it appears the fuse box is on the opposite side of the 12v outlet? Also, where do I hook up the blue wire?

Thanks!
Ethan

As I read through this thread I can't seem to find any mention of the other method of disabling the flaps by simply pulling the vacuum lines off the exhaust flaps and plugging them. Is there any reason that I am missing why this isn't an alternate solution?

^^^ It is a solution, as long as you don't wish to switch between normal and loud mode frequently.
