New 2011 v8v or 2012
You may have seen the brand new 2011 V8V listed at nearly 20% off at a dealership in Washington state. My question to you guys... if money really isn't the main issue (within reason) is it worth spending an extra 30k on a similarly optioned 2012 (or buy the 2011)?

I have a MB C63 Black Series (1 of 97 in the US) arriving in a few weeks and am having second thoughts (AMAZING performance but a little smallish). As a result I am eyeing the new 2013 BMW M6 and the AM V8V. Would love your input.
Im not really a "racer" type guy. Just want a unique, good looking sports car that I can jump on every now and then (coming from a CLK63 AMG Black Series, Gallardo before that, BMW 650 before that).
THANKS

That does look like a very good deal to me (gorgeous colour combo, incl sport pack, listed for less that you will find some lightly used V8Vs from the same MY). And w the M6 you've got a reasonable 4 seater to enjoy as well. I would say go for it.
I'd also say go with the MY2011. (30k is like 1.5 year worth of depreciation in some markets)
As RossL mentioned, the new GPS is a Garmin. I got to play with one when I had a Virage for a few hours (I assume they are spec'ing all the same units through all the cars now)
Screen was much brighter & maps where a huge improvement. (but not worth $30k) I still prefer a TomTom in my car over the stock GPS.
Good Luck!

That is a MY10 car as it has the N400 sport pack wheels and not the current ones.
OP I would pick the AM just because it is an event every time you start it
That's a great deal and I'm sure you could get it for even a bit less, they are being very aggressive with the 2011s (that is the only reason I bought mine).
I believe they are also bringing some of the S changes (i.e. quicker steering, etc.) down to the standard V8V for 2012. Not sure if that would be worth $30k+ to you.
If the C63 seems small, the Vantage will seem smaller . . . the Aston is a true 2 seater. There are nothing but cubbies behind the front seats and the boot is tiny. I drove the 650i extensively and it drives like the much, much larger car it is. No idea how the M6 will drive. I assume that it will be freight-train powerful but that it will never be a tossable GT the way the AM is.
Good luck with your decision, you really can't go wrong with any of the three you are considering.

By the way, only 97 C63 Black Series are arriving in the U.S.? Where did you hear that? I was told around 700. I just picked mine up last week - love it to death.
Wow, all great feedback and it looks as if that really is a good deal (the 2011). Im gonna contact the dealer and see if there is even more room).
ShawnBoston, thanks for the extended feedback about the other choices too.
Nexlogic, yeah, its 97 for the US (for the BS). 700 may be the worldwide number. Its a pretty common topic on the AMG PL boards. Ill find and send to you.
