Aston Martin DBS market value

A new DBS is $275k. A 4 year old DBS is selling for around $150k on the low end. Let's use $180k as average.
That is about 65% of the total cost when new.
A new V8V is $130k. A 4 year old V8V is selling for around $95k as average.
That is about 74% of the total cost when new.

I'm close to sealing a transaction...once it's done I'll let y'all know.
By chance does anyone know of a third party inspector that can meticulously look at paintwork or accident history?
I have all service records on the car, just want to make sure there is no paintwork or damage history.

Plastique,
Many congratulations!
Jag Owner,
Why the constant jabs at V8s? Aston Martin has a very long history of building great V8s -- and sixes, and even fours. There was no Aston V12 until rather recently, 1999, so obviously 12 cylinders aren't required for "exotic" status. Don't get me wrong, I love the V12s, but enough with the comments that a V8 is somehow unworthy. V8 engines have some real advantages over V12s, which I won't get into here since this thread is about Plastique's pending superb DBS purchase.
Aston became the iconic marque that it is on fewer than eight cylinders, never mind twelve.
Many congratulations!

Hey congrats plastique! What year? What color combo? Manual or auto?

Congrats! I've had my DBS for a couple of years now and I can honestly say that I'm still honeymooning with it...I love it that much! The only thing I'd change is the aging infotainment system but I can't seem to find any way to upgrade it...oh well. Enjoy!

Simply, if there is a choice between a V12 and a V8, there is no choice. V12s will always be > V8s. And it has nothing to do with horsepower, weight, dry sumps, or any of that other stuff. If you've not driven a V12 (any V12, not just Aston's), then you don't know what you are missing.

Thanks!! It's a 2009 in Casino Royale color - 6speed of course . Ended up getting a 2+0 with the gray interior, center seating Alcantara.
Waiting for delivery is agonizing...

Good to know that you still have the thrilling driving experience with it. Curious if you've had any issues with the car since your ownership?
