Is it really suede or is it alcantara? IF, its alcantara, you should be able to do it with any good fabric cleaner. Suede? Take it to someone and have it professionally cleaned? Also prolly matters if you're cleaning a spot or the whole thing?

True story of my headliner vs. a real grape fruit juice bar! So I was dumb enough to let my 6 year old eat a real grape fruit juice bar in my AMV8 last month. (Bad move so far I know). Anyway as the juice bar was starting to melt at a quick rate and no where to put it I finally gave in and said throw it out the window. I decided a littering ticket would cost less than the interior of the car. As my son attempted to throw the juice bar out he caught the roof headliner with the juice pop. I have the light grey color top and the bright reddish purple streak looked SO SO bad. It took me 5 minutes of stressful driving to reach my home to try and fix it.

I took a microfiber rag and cold water and decided to attempt a small wipe / blot combo... IT CAME RIGHT OUT! Honestly, it wiped right off like it had never been there before. The water took about 20 minutes to dry off the surface and it was just like new!

I was so so grateful and it was a huge lesson learned.

Lesson learned for everyone: Don't have kids sit in your Aston Martin. Or better yet: Don't have kids.

In simplest terms, Alcantara is synthetic suede used in automotive, motorsport, and other upholstery applications. It comes in a myriad of colors and two grades: One is for panel surfaces and is quite stretchy. It can be wrapped easily around complex contours. The other grade has a reinforced backing that makes it stronger and thus suitable for seating surfaces, but is not as flexible.

cool.......thanks for the school............Seems to me our cars would be exclusively the first, stretchy type......It feels and looks very high grade IMO.

Cars like the Vantage N420 and the DBS were offered with Alcantara seat inserts which are of the Cover (reinforced) Grade. Both grades look and feel exactly the same. The Cover Grade just has a webbed backing adhered to the underside.

^^^^ Like most things in life, it all comes down to how well you take care of it. Good maintenance is crucial.
