Question! Message Left Indicator Bulb Failure!
Question! Message Left Indicator Bulb Failure!
I have a 2006 Vantage, i just got a Left Indicator Bulb failure, the rear blinkers are fine just the fronts. When the warning light turns on the front blinker wont work but then i park it, turn it back on and it works again, a few days later i get the same warning again. Anyone come across this problem? just replace LEDs? any help would be appreciated thanks,.
The same thing happened on my 06 Vantage. White LED's worked, but left yellow indicator LED's worked intermittently..... Until they finally quit working all together. The LED's are part of the circuitboard assembly and therefore as the previous poster mentioned, they are not servicable. I bought a set of used assembly's on fleabay for $800 for the pair on a luck of the draw day while searching.... Good Luck!
Looks like they just stopped working lol just got my wheels in and now i gotta replace headlights lol horrible... im going to check the connection first, if all fails then replace the headlight. if anyone knows someone selling the drivers side shoot me an email Ruben@unleashedwheels.com, still to new to send PM

A word of warning about replacing your headlight assembly:
I had to replace my passenger side headlight assembly due to the headlight no longer "auto-dipping" (headlight projector motor would no longer move the lamps in the light). I looked and looked on ebay and never felt like I could get the correct lamp for the 2006 model. (apparently the 2006 light is not exactly the same as say, a 2009).
I called my Aston dealership and was quoted something like $2200. So I decided to look at Aston Martin Bits in the UK for a suitable replacement. The cost from them was around $1200 US with another $350 US to get it here. It was a brand-new assembly. But then I discovered an interesting issue, Here is where the warning comes in: Pay close attention to the shape and detail of the bezels on the lights themselves in the headlamps. There is more than 1 design pattern for these. I was sent a different pattern than the one originally on my 2006.
I contacted AM bits and notified them of the issue and it was the first time they had ever noticed that as well. So, I paid to send them back (another $350 US.) they paid to ship the correct version back to me.
I then had to have it installed. That takes more labor than you think it will. The design of the light and how it is installed is difficult to say the least apparently. In my case the front bumper needed to be removed, as well as the wheel, wheel liner, etc. Since the bumper was already off, I decided to have that repainted to freshen up the appearance. By the time it was all said and done the headlight adventure cost me about $3800 total.
Just make sure you pay close attention to the headlight bezel design!!! you don't want to do the work twice making it right!

No problem my friend! I sent you an email showing you 2 different V8 Vantage lights. In those images you will see the differences on the bulb bezels. If yours is an 06 and you have your original lights, then you have the early style bezels (I think these look better than the new ones personally).
