I hope nothing I said about the warranty/demo, put you off the 2013. I just wanted to put you at ease that it was likely not a car owned by anyone, and you'd be essentially the first owner. If its a demo, it would not have been titled. I bought my first S2000 that way and saved a lot, ended up with a great car for 6 years.

However, if you really want a different color, then by all means wait. It took me a good 6 months to find a car with the color and specs I wanted.

Come on AM dealerships! Just pick up ONE used meteorite silver in 6spd w/ black interior and contrast stitch and I'm yours...
Here's a new listing at Los Gatos AM exactly like you asked for (with a new set of tires too!), and one year left on the factory warranty:

Check your PM's too .

Here's an example:

The rear tires on my 07 V8V wore out but the fronts still had about 50% tread left. I didn't want to buy another set of the OEM Bridgestone Potenzas because, frankly, they are crap. They are rated #27 on Tire Rack. I wanted to go with the best possible tire for the car so I put on a rear set of the #1 rated tire: the Michelin Pilot Super Sport (I also increased the cross-section width by 10mm). I drove with a mismatched set until the front OEM tires finally wore out and then replaced them with the Michelins.
Thanks for setting me straight. It's obvious I have a lot to learn about these cars. I just remember from my days of owning an s2000 that the potenza's were some of the best tires around. I suppose I need to realize that was quite some time ago and a completely different car. I saw a car for sale in NJ on Michelin's and I immediately discounted it thinking the previous owner cheaped out and didn't spring for the potenza's. Now I know!

I can understand where you were coming from on the tire swap. I had just always heard that having two different brands with different tread characteristics and different wear (especially on a sports car, front and back) was a recipe for bad things. I suppose it would be because of a mis-match in balance or grip or water shedding, but at this point I'll say it's hearsay and I don't remember where I heard it from. I'm sure 99% of people have had no problems with it. And I suppose it makes a lot more sense than always replacing the fronts when the rears go
