Pics from Pebble Beach
Some of the relevant Aston pics from this past weekend.
Also saw tons of BMW i8s, a couple of McLaren P1s, McLaren 650s everywhere, and tons of other nice cars cover in dirt/dust in the parking areas. Funny, when Bentley's, Astons, and Ferraris park in the dusty lot next to the "regular" cars.
Highlight for me was the crazy excitement and tons of $$$ for the cars in the Gooding auction. 74 Countach with 11K miles LP 400 Periscopo for $1.7 Million!
1955 Aston DB3S for $5 Million!

Next time I go I need to plan better for the whole car week, spend time out at Laguna Seca, and drive up in the Vantage. This was a last minute thing, hotel WAY out of town, no planning, etc... Despite all of that, still awesome being around such amazing automobiles and automobile history. The weather was pretty nice too - standing on the grass, viewing the cars and the ocean. That's the life!

I saw hundreds of Ferrari's on the road heading into 17 Mile Drive. Counted over 20 McLaren in Pebble Beach alone - dime a dozen these days. Not exclusive anymore.
I did well on a last minute ability to go. However, if I come again I'll definitely need to plan better & figure out if it's worth driving from the east coast. The Corolla rental was a real eye turner!

Thanks for the pics!
I hate to say it, but I used to be stationed in Monterey when I was in the Marines. I was 18-19 yrs old and it was when I was just getting into cars. I was in the JDM scene - so the Concourse d'Elegance was a completely foreign concept to me. I never once went when I had ample opportunity to do so!
One of these days I have to make it back that way!
