Shifter replacement....
Shifter replacement....
I just got an alcantara shift ****, but for the life of me I cannot remove the one that's in place.
My thought is that it's "friction" connection. I tired pulling very hard, but mine won't come off.
What am I missing here?

Push down and rotate one quarter turn counterclockwise. But do note that the **** and boot are connected and you need to remove the armrest and center console to take the shift lever off.

You're like the "key master". The two screws under the leather trim piece are what I could not find. New shifter is in, and I'm reassembling her now.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

No problem but I hope you understand this is spring release. So please bear with me. I guess, my next step is to download the service manuals. There was no way I would have figured out that I needed to exhibit some agression for that leather panel in the arm rest.
