2015 DB9 blinking light

Good evening,

I just purchased a 2015 DB9 Carbon White edition on Saturday. Does anyone know why there is no blinking light inside the car when you lock the doors. Is there a setting?

Thanks
Jeet

Shows the alarm is active..various manufactures use this, some have the light in the dash, in the radio, even on the door where the old pull lock rod was location..

I'm sorry if I have confused this thread. What I am asking is why there is no blinking at all once the doors are locked.

Aston uses it as a telltale light for a tech to diagnose rather than warning a theif this vehicle has an alarm..if the thief needs to see a flashing light on an Aston to realise there is an alarm...he/she's an idiot period!! LOL

When Ign on, should come on for 3 seconds
When Ign off but key still in, should keep flashing
When Ign off and key out, will flash for 5 mins, once you lock the car it will flash for 1 min..

Being these cars aren't D.D's..any useless power used is reducing the battery full power span. So by not keeping the light flashing constantly to warn really noboby helps keep a little extra amps from draining over a longer period of storage with no charger hooked up..any little bit helps

If Aston's were regularly used as D.D cars, such little battery drain would not be thought of..
