I just painted my v12 wheels & my bright red calipers are just too much for my taste now. I'm thinking to paint my calipers black, but before I do that I know lot of guys like red calipers. Anyone interested to do trade /swap let me know.
My car is 2013 Aston Martin V8. Not sure if they are different other years, but I'm thinking 2013 & up should be same.

Sorry, but I'm not a fan. Why did you paint the wheels? I am probably a stickler on keeping the Aston "classy," so my opinion doesn't really mean much, but it looks so tacky now.
Aston uses many reds-being red/green color blind it is difficult for me to always distinguish them.
Toro red
Fire red
Lords red
Diavolo red
Volcano red
Chancellor red
Spicy red
Magma red
etc
BTW 8% of men are red/green color blind
Doesn't mean you can't see reds and greens-just implies that the shading and subleties
can be a challenge
When I got my red Vantage with the silver wheels and chrome bits, it was too "pretty". Being that it's Ferrari red (that's what's on the build sheet), and tan interior, I understood perfectly that it was a tribute to the Ferrari formula. However, I wanted a departure from the "pretty" image and go to "bad boy".
I blacked out all the chrome with a simulated carbon fiber wrap. I found a set of OEM AM wheels on eBay for $500 (Yes, a set of 4 wheels!) and had them powder coated dark gray.
I normally don't like dark wheels because I think it mutes one of the most important design features of a car. I entertained the idea of red wheels, but no matter what I put on (via photoshop) the car, red was a bit much. I'm like the other guy on this post who likes contrasts. The solution for me was to letter the tires to bring back some of the zing to the darkness of the wheel wells and visually enhance the curvature of the tires.
Some may disagree with my choices because it's so "not like an Aston" but I've done everything to be able to return it to original Factory spec within hours.
For you? I don't blame you for wanting to change your caliper color. They didn't match the gorgeous body paint from day one. I would suggest instead of swapping them, have them powder coated a dark silver. The wheels? Well, one thing at a time. Get the calipers done, then reassess. Feel free to send me your ideas and I could photoshop the mods to your car before you make major changes. Believe me, it's a lot cheaper that way.
Okay, so here's your wheels turned to gray and the calipers a lighter gray. I'm playing off the clear tail lamps. Once again, like you said when you powder coated the wheels black, they tend to disappear. The white lettering (sorry, I just did a quick and dirty, but you get the gist) helps to bring your eyes back to the wheels and "demands that you look at them!" It's almost hypnotic. If I redo my car, I'd go with red with Tungsten Silver accents.
Here's your car with black calipers. I personally think you should go with dark silver. I'd hate to see such a great part of the wheel assembly disappear into the darkness with black.

Dark Silver wheels or calipers? Like to see that combo if it not too much trouble.
