We should have a permanent thread that lists people's repair shops. So it is not difficult for anyone to jump on and see where to get XYZ done.

 

Keep in mind forum rules - if it can be considered advertising, it'll be deleted. Forum sponsors pay to advertise on here, and some of them (including ones in this section) are indie shops.

It's not a bad idea, it just conflicts a bit with forum rules.

Might be fine if it's just the shop name and city/state without contact info, pricing, website, etc. People can look the place up themselves.

 

In addition to Ricks point there is also the issue of liability.
That said this idea has merit.

I have a suggestion, a list member with a personal website can host such a list as long as a proper disclaimer is added.
If there is enough support I would be willing to add to my website
