You have to take the entire console apart from the back to the gear shift

Fuel Door in Carbon....

Took a bit of fiddling about to get it to line up, but I'm proud of myself. This was taken with an iPhone. I couldn't get the lighting right with the high-res. camera

Perhaps, I can get better shots outside when the weather clears up.

I really want to like this, but I can't get around the contrast. It's a little too much. Kind of like the muscle cars with billet gas caps.
I normally love all things carbon but maybe it's the loss of symmetry that's bugging me.

Thanks for the input. You may be right, but I'll see how it goes. The door handles are carbon also. So there's some consistency there.

You may be on to something, though, because there's something deep down that was bugging me about it.

Well, I keep all my original parts, and in this case I can go back to my original black cover if I decide that I don't like it after all.

you wrapped the underhood panel? It looks fantastic. Interested to see how the material holds up to the heat.

No, the underhood (slam) panel is not a wrap. It is made of carbon fiber. There is a weight savings there.

I don't care about the heat. If things go pear-shaped, I kept my original parts so I can always put them back, and I can always repaint the laminated parts Brembo yellow.
