Thumbs up VelocityAP tune is amazing - 100% recommended!

So I have had the tune on the car for about 1 week and 500 miles and I am very impressed. I talked about the changes the 200cel CATs and VelocityAP muffler made to the 4.3 Vantage in this post. The CATs and muffler felt like the car was let free and had a nice impact on performance. I would say the tune easily gave a similar increase in performance. The tune makes the throttle mapping much more direct and the car just rips up the the 7500prm readline. I would say the Tunes and CATs are like Epoxy you need part_A and part_B to make it all work

I can not imagine what the car will be like with headers and lightened flywheel.

Added bonus, got some fun stickers that gave my toolbox 5 more hp.

Cheers
Daryl

I have the VelocityAP tune, also with VAP headers, LW flywheel, and dual-disc clutch. Love it!!!

But I didn't get any stickers so I'm probably down about 8 hp

Awesome stuff Daryl, glad you are enjoying it!

And you're right, tune & cats really wakes these cars up a huge amount.

Can you stack the stickers for a large HP gain? I.E. 2 stickers = 10HP? It looks like you enough surface area to get at least another 200HP out of that tool box.

ordered my 4.7 tune from AP Velocity as well. Had race cats and muffler but picked up headers and x pipe while doing the twin plate clutch and could not resist. Really feel like it will bring it all together.

Adding my 2 cents here and I second the sentiment on the Velocity tune. I had the VAP cats and exhaust installed already and it was great. However, once I got the tune and air filters in, it was a world of difference. The car feels so much more powerful, it shifts smoother, and it sounds even better.

A good comparison for me and my car:
Stock = standard definition
Upgraded exhaust and cats = HD
Tune + cat/exhaust = 4k HD

It was well worth the cost in my opinion. Can't even imagine the further improvements of headers, uprated clutch, and an xpipe could bring. That is going to be an a beast when you get finished.

I've got the tune on my car, too. Pretty happy with it, and the ability to switch between tunes is a great bonus.

Getting one of Stuart's clutch/flywheel setups in the very near future, too. Should be a lot of fun
