Are powerfold mirrors standard

In a 2009 model, cant find the power folding mirror button on the side of the door near the side mirror buttons. Are they an option or standard? Or are they located elsewhere in the car?

Owners please confirm. I was told that in 2008 the wiring was not available. So electric powerfolding option did not exist. 2009 was the first year AM had this option. 2010 was standard feature.

The 2009 is supposedly already wired for it. You should be able to take it to an AM dealer to have them turn this feature on.

It was optional in the earlier cars. I have it on my '07.

I think they changed the look of the mirrors over time. The older mirrors look slightly smaller viewing area. I believe that's the difference?

I had the folding mirrors on my old 2007 Vantage. They did not fold when I locked the car, only when I pressed the two left and right buttons at the same time.

My car is a 09 and they had 2 options for mirrors either Powerfold Mirror Assembly which is manually done by pressing L & R button at the same time to fold and unfold them and the other option was Automatic Powerfold Mirror Assembly which fold on lock and unfold on unlocking the car.

if you can fold your mirrors pressing L and R then you can have your dealer unlocking the powerfold option when locking the car with the AMDS.I am pretty sure latter models have this opton selectable on the infotainement display

Mine has a bug, it's either on the powerfold or when the passenger dips in reverse, it comes back pointing way right. It's been in the shop getting the clutch and service so when I get it back and figure it out one of those options I won't be using anymore ;/

The mirrors moved to elephant ears in 2010.

Since we talking mirrors, my mirrors do all the time strange stuff. This morning I had suddenly passenger curb function, tilt down, but the mirror didn't want to go back to the outgoing position.

Twice before my passenger Mirror decided to just move all the way out and keep trying to move further.
