Solution to your “quirky” Aston?
Solution to your “quirky” Aston?
Plagued with problems on your 07 Vantage? The solution could be a super easy fix.
For several months I’ve been having problems pop up on my Aston including:
—Windows that sometimes wouldnt roll down or up.
—“Check engine” light with an emissions sensor message.
—Tire sensor warning
—Front left blinker sometimes wouldn’t work and would receive message of “Front bulb failure”. (That’s $2000 fix!!)
—Door would not unlock with the remote
—Wiper fluid wouldn’t work
—Cabin lights sometimes remained lit
—Seats occasionally not moving forward or backwards
—Wierd startup
—Many other problems.
Like the signal issue, some of the repairs were expected to cost MAJOR bucks. But another Vantage owner advised me to get my battery checked. Turns out the battery was no good. Bought another one, installed it myself and started it up. Every single one of those problems have been solved. Everything runs beautifully and works like it should.
So if you’re experiencing some quirks and other problems, get the battery checked before taking it in for repairs. A $200 battery sure beats a repair bill at the Aston dealership!
Cheers!

Ha! Probably so. And if they designed the battery mounting brackets the same way in your LR3 as they did the Vantage, then I hope they slam their fingers in their car door! :-/

Let me add 1 more. . .
My CD changer stopped ejecting discs. It would stutter, but wouldn't spit the disc out. Sometimes when I turned the car off and restarted it the disc would finally eject, but then that stopped too. I replaced the battery, and the CD changer works perfectly again.
Maybe this list should be pinned ... nice to have an easily accessible list of signs that the battery is failing before it fails to start the car.
